Daniel Schlosberg
PIANIST
GRAMMY-nominated pianist Daniel Schlosberg leads a kaleidoscopic musical life. He has appeared with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in numerous concerts and was a featured soloist in subscription performances of Messiaen’s “Trois Petites Liturgies.”
He has a passion for contemporary music, having collaborated with Eighth Blackbird, Third Coast Percussion, and the International Contemporary Ensemble, and was a founding member of Yarn/Wire.
Schlosberg’s release with soprano Laura Strickling, 40@40, reached #1 on the Billboard charts and received a GRAMMY nomination. Other recent projects include Mahler/Zemlinsky: Symphony No 6 (arr. 4-hands) at the National Gallery of Art, DC, and Ravinia, and appearances at Bargemusic in Brooklyn. He is based in Chicago and is on faculty at the University of Notre Dame (Indiana), where he is also advisor to the student Table Tennis Club.

José Francisco Salgado
FILM PRODUCER
José Francisco Salgado is an Emmy-nominated astronomer (BS in Physics, Univ. of Puerto Rico; PhD in Astronomy, Univ. of Michigan), photographer, visual artist, and public speaker who creates multimedia works that communicate science in engaging ways. He is the Executive Director and co-founder of KV 265, a non-profit science and arts education organization that collaborates with orchestras, composers, and musicians to present films that provoke curiosity and wonder about the Earth and the Universe.
Dr. Salgado has visited more than 30 scientific sites- including the South Pole, the Atacama Desert, the French Pyrenees, and the South African Karoo- and has contributed photography and visuals to documentaries produced for the History, Discovery, BBC, and National Geographic channels. He has also given presentations in all seven continents, including a presentation at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station, and worked as an astronomer at Chicago’s Adler Planetarium prior to co-founding KV 265 with astronomer Dr. Geza Gyuk and Anne Barlow.
KV 265 Science & Symphony Films
KV 265 is a non-profit organization dedicated to the communication of science through music and the visual arts. The group aims to deepen appreciation, understanding and exploration of art, music, science, and technology through multimedia concerts, lectures, and educational workshops for audiences in the U.S. and beyond.
With support from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, KV 265’s Science & Symphony films have been presented in 270 concerts and 230 lectures worldwide, reaching nearly 500,000 people across 21 countries. Four of these films have been recognized by UNESCO for their value in education and public outreach.
